佐藤秀明　sato hideaki

1943年6月27日新潟生まれ　日本写真家協会会員

日本大学芸術学部写真学科を卒業の後、フリーのカメラマンになる。1967年より3年間ニューヨークに在住。1970年代前半から波を追いかけサーフィン雑誌を中心に活躍し、その後北極、アラスカ、チベット、ポリネシアなど辺境を中心に撮影活動を続け、数多くの作品を発表。最近は日本の雨の風景などにも取り組んでいる。

He was born in Niigata, Japan in 1943.He graduated from the department photography of Nihon UNV. From 1967, he had worked as a free-lance photographer in New York for three years . Early 70s, he mainly worked for the surfing magazines and then he has been taken photographes in rural areas like the North Pole, Alaska, Africa, Thibet and the southern Islands. Number of books of thoes photograpes were published. These last several years he also has been taking photoes in Japan.
